About Me

What MOVES you...

Beauty...

I fell in love with our blue green planet in my early 20's when I was studying Environmental Science at TWU, in Fort Langley. Since then I have traveled all over the world trying to capture 'that moment; that is so powerful, it brings tears to your eyes.

Movement...

Finding yoga helped me feel closer to the feminine. It helped me to develop self worth and confidence. I truly believe that yoga heals and I find inspiration in the stories of the people I photograph. And of course how that story plays out in their asana practice.

Women...

Women are so many things to so many people. We often forget 'our selves' in the midst of being mothers, wives, care givers, grocery shoppers and errand runners... and I love being able to show women (through my camera lens) that we are: strong, beautiful, creative and talented beings. A photograph should remind us of the many reasons to love 'oneself.'

Joy...

"True Joy can only be known and experienced after trauma." Growing up, I was always described as a happy child despite my circumstances. After a very traumatic illness in adulthood, difficult diagnosis and lengthy recovery, I discovered that if life does't work for us, we need to work for it.  Reevaluating my expectations has enabled me to find true joy.
